Windmills

Boy with patient Dad,

seated in front of me on the train,

Bound for Liverpool

Rain trickling

down the window pane,

Face pushed against glass

“Why, look look, what, why what”!

“How fast do Windmills go”?

Me suddenly alert

What! Thoughts stunned

I have never thought of this

look it up on Google

My phone always connects

with a black and white multitude mass

of facts figures science and words.

I will never forget the boy on the train

Eyes sparkling

Observing with enthusiastic excited clarity

Every tiny detail of the 40 minute journey

An absolute pleasure to hear you

I learned from you, thank you

How fast do Windmills go?
